From Coding HTML to Building Computers: When to Let It Go
As many of you know, I started my career in the sciences. I was a lab tech in medical research and environmental analysis. I set up and managed a laboratory. I bought the equipment for the lab, set up the processes, trained the employees, and oversaw the analysis quality. I evaluated software, wrote help systems […]
Don’t Live with Ugly Wallpaper: Update Your Business Now for Value Now
My friend had been offered a new job in a different city. This meant that he & his wife had to move from the home they had raised their kids in for most of their lives. It was a difficult decision, taking their kids out of high school to start them in a new school […]
Your “After” Affects Your “Now”
What does knowing what you will be doing after your business sells, have to do with preparing to sell your business? A lot, if you would like to be able to sell for more value. In preparing a business, and the business owner, to sell their business, I have always started by asking, “what do […]

Give Up – Get Out – OR – Get Going
I have had a few business owners come to me recently, looking to do something different in their business and now making the money they want. Deciding on the change in one thing, but implementing it is another. It is like going back to the beginning of business, and starting all over again. So when […]
Decision Making for Best Results
Have you ever made a bad decision that had cost you more than you expected? Sure you have; we all have. As a human, we make a lot of decisions in a day. In one article I read (1) we make upwards of 35000 decisions a day, most of them as standard or autonomic actions. […]
