Give Up – Get Out – OR – Get Going

I have had a few business owners come to me recently, looking to do something different in their business and now making the money they want. Deciding on the change in one thing, but implementing it is another. It is like going back to the beginning of business, and starting all over again. So when should you give up?

  1. Research and Evaluation
    • Evaluate your original estimates and research. Were they correct?
  2. Sounding Board
    • Use your peers, colleges, or team to brainstorm your idea. “Strategic thinking comes from having a bigger understanding of the playing surface.” so spend time discovering your business’s “playing surface”.
  3. Make the Decision
    • Do you keep the business the way it is, make changes OR move on? Coming up with the best answer, for you, will be important.

By knowing what you are willing to do and why it is important to you, you will make better decisions around what you can do for your business, including growing it or selling it.
