To Be Connected You Have To Stay Connected
Do you ever meet people you just really want to be connected to and then you get the chance to meet and spend some time and you realize you have tonnes in common? Over the years I have met many people like this and I always take the opportunity to try and connect on a more personal level. It helps me figure out how I can help them (if I can) and how they might be able to help me in my business. Plus, entrepreneurship can be very lonely if you don’t align yourself with like-minded people.
What you need to remember is that one meeting, lunch, or coffee is not enough to build a relationship and it is not up to them to reconnect with you. I never leave it to someone else to decide who is going to be in my inner circle, I take action. What I’m saying is, you need to commit to connecting with that person on a personal level regularly.

Today I had my regular call with my friend Mark Rhodes. He is getting ready to go to print with his first book. One of the Fathers of NLP, Richard Bandler, has apparently written the forward and made some incredible claims about his topic and expertise. I knew when I met Mark 2.5 years ago he was the type of person I wanted to know and aspire to so we chose to connect every 8 to 10 weeks via Skype or phone. We focus on what we can do to help each other.
If you meet someone worth knowing, don’t leave a great relationship to chance, take the time to schedule a meeting and you will increase the amount you can do in your business simply by being around the type of people doing the things you aspire to be and do.
