If ‘Revisit Often’ is the Answer, What is the Question?

Several come to mind:

  • How do I know if my social media is working?
  • Is my networking paying off?
  • What marketing channels are working best for me?
  • What percent of my post clients make up my business sales?

Actually, it answers so many really important questions. ‘Revisit Often’ is my mantra. A challenge we all have is we put something in place and if it appears to be working we tend to leave it alone. After all, ‘don’t fix it if it isn’t broken’ is something we have been taught.

Fixing it is very different from optimizing and leveraging your business processes. ‘Broke’ you can find – ‘Not effective’ you cannot if you don’t revisit  and evaluate often.

Know your metrics (you cannot improve on that which you cannot measure), throw out the negative speak (e.g. “I’ve done that before”), and revisit often. Get your coach to help you ask new questions that may get you looking in a different direction with borrowed eyes.

Tory Johnson had me evaluate the social media of my competitors. What I found was having a lot of followers and friends are an indicator of success online. So my take-away was to put more effort into connecting online with more people. I could not have changed that focus if I had not revisited my own social media metrics and those of my competitors.
