Don’t Believe in Infomercials

Don’t Believe in Infomercials

An infomercial, aka elevator pitch, is a short way of introducing yourself and your business in a way that will generate interest and possibly create a lead towards a sale.

You know, after 11 years of trying to create the perfect infomercial I have decided that I don’t believe there is a perfect infomercial. Saying the same scripted thing, over and over, to crowds of different people does not make sense. Even large corporations that pay a lot of money for TV commercials don’t use the same commercial in different markets.

Understand your client, know your niche, and have a message worth sharing that speaks to their needs. The people that are supposed to hear you and need what you want, will hear you when your language is lived, not just memorized.
